If you are unable to locate an item on the shelf, please take the information to the Service Desk and ask for assistance. 

Service Desk staff will check the status of the item, and search for it while you wait, if you like. If the item isn't found right away, Service Desk staff will complete a missing item report, and offer to assist you in requesting the item via interlibrary loan or locating an alternate source.
